October and November sees a host of motorsports events in South Australia and this year is packed full of 2 and 4 wheel action. We have already seen big interstate racing of the Bathurst 1000 & Gold Coast 500, and closer to home we had a heap of Dragway events, The Bend Classic, Melonaid plus the dirt rally in the Adelaide Hills back in September.
Looking forward to this weekend (Nov 8-10) we are treated to 2 big events in the Adelaide Hills and at The Bend. With the Adelaide Rally (tarmac) kicking off on friday and continuing over the 3 days with 30 routes thoughout the hills there are 8 with spectator access including the popular Strathalbyn town stage on Sunday which also hosts a car display of all the vehicles for fans to get up close to, which can also be achieved at the Gouger St party Saturday night and at Bridgewater Saturday for lunch.
Motorsport Digital will be capturing images at 3 of the stages, Gorge rd, Aldgate Valley rd and in the Strathalbyn township. Keep an eye out for updates…
We will also be at the ASBK final being held at The Bend this weekend. If you love your 2 wheeled action then the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park is the place to be to see the championship conclusion with racing on the Saturday and Sunday, and this year fans also get a bonus at the dragway with drag bikes going for glory all for the same entry price.
We will take you closer to all the action in the Adelaide Hills and Murraylands this weekend. Looking further forward in November we have the conclusion of Supercars at the Adelaide 500 which will decide the championship contender team mates of Will Brown and Brock Feeney. This will also be the last race in Supercars current championship format with next year moving to a 3 part championship where Adelaide will play host to the Grand Final in 2025.
Then moving to the Bend to wrap up November Motor racing we tackle the 777 Enduro on the 2nd biggest race track in the world, The Bend’s 7.77km full size track which will test man and machine (much like what just happended at the Melonaid 25hr enduro on the same layout). Then The Bend lays host to the first edition of its signature event, Apex League.
You can read about Apex League in an earlier post on Motorsport Digital.
Its lights out and away we go (is that trademarked?) for all forms of motorsports in SA. Giddy Up!
